About Me
I'm inspired by the intersections between my faith, my research, and the places in which we could serve others around us with kindness & grace
I’m a historian of rural economies and the social contexts in which local people have understood international changes around them. I also lead a wonderful team of beautiful people at our nonprofit, the Hope Library. Outside of research and the nonprofit, I speak about doing our academic work through God’s grace, on my podcast, Scholarship by Grace, and my storytelling & faith project, “Cedars.”
Proverbs 31: 8-9
inspired heart & Mind
As a historian, my research is inspired by people, their life stories, and hope for their continued wellbeing, in Africa and in the rest of our beautiful world.
